Angeline Yap or better known as “Katrina Paula” was a sexy star back in the 90’s. Katrina Paula is known to be involved in skin-baring scenes or movies with sexual themes which was all the rage among the male population.
She formerly worked as a Guest Relations Officer (GRO) in a club, in which she mentioned, “Nag-start ako sa showbiz ng 1998, nagwowork ako sa isang club noon sa Quezon City.
The sexy starlet’s rise to fame started when she was in, “Sa Iyo and Sarap, Akin and Hirap” and “Strip Program, Indayog sa Gabi”(1999). She also starred in, “Nag-aapoy na langit”(2001) and “Mapupulang rosas” (2002). However, like most of those who venture in the entertainment industry, she became stagnant.
Her movies stopped coming, because of competition and there was never really a lack of beautiful girls to fill the role of a sexy star. She then decided to move to Japan and try her luck there.
Her luck did come around, as her hard work and perseverance did pay off in Japan. There, she was able to buy a new house and was living comfortably. She decided to put up a business where she was able to provide for herself and her kids.
When asked what her business was, she said, “Pinagkakaabalahan ko ngayon? Ayan nagbebenta ng mga alahas, mga bag. Sa Japan, palagi akong nasa Japan kasi nagwo-work ako doon.”
Surprisingly, this awesome mom also ventured into the world of pageantry. She was chosen to represent Philippines in “Mrs. Queen of VOAA” – Voice of an angel, and got third place! Wow!
When asked, what is her greatest accomplishment from all of the things she did, Katrina proudly boasts that it is her children.
Her ability to provide for them as a single parent makes her undeniably happy and fulfilled. She have four kids, and her eldest daughter is now a pilot.
No matter what, Katrina did her best to raise her children, and that is enough to define a true woman. We are proud of you Katrina for not giving up, and always choosing the better path in life.
